Your movie list is a poem. Thanks for the journey into your mind. Your criticisms of The Doors are legit. Jim is often pretty abrasive and the organ solos always annoyed me a bit too. Bill Withers is awesome... Grandma's Hands, Just the Two of Us, Ain't No Sunshine so many vibes.

i mean, why are they on every „greatest bands of all time“ list when there’s so many better psych rock bands…? i‘m not saying they‘re bad - just not >that great< haha… Bill Withers, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke AND Prince Akeem yelling „YES, YES! FUCK YOU, TOO!“ - i really need that this week lmao

I love the emotions wheel. I never knew it existed. My kids often get confused with their emotions as they are growing up. I will print it out and stick it in their rooms. Thank you for your honesty in this 🩷

aww thank you so much - that’s so sweet!! I hope it’ll help them as well 🥹 I honestly think that everybody would benefit from such skills - if you’re not in therapy, you barely concern yourself with things like „how do I REALLY feel and what would help me now?“ ❤️‍🩹

Feel you so much, girl. It's been quite the week over here, too. Didn't need the emotion wheel (which is pinned to our fridge since two weeks ago, the husband got it recently) to identify my feelings though. Fear, sadness, desperation, but also very deep love, great joy and pride.

So listening to Lean On Me felt like a big hug from you today, and I enjoyed every second of it ❤️ hope to hug you irl soon. Love love 💕

Hahaha it's just because the doors are to psychedelic rock as black sabbath is to heavy metal. But I like a lot of Jim's lyrics and when he isn't drunk yelling he sounds decent... They're overrated though for sure

LMAO the deep cut with Prince Akeem reference is great, you have great taste julie.

i‘d rather say Pink Floyd are the Black Sabbath of psychedelic rock 👀 Jim‘s not a bad lyricist, i give you that haha

i think i‘ve seen this movie an unhealthy amount of times lmao

Yeah, touche, Pink Floyd does represent the ideal psychedelic vibe better. Jim is like the edge of a bad trip most of the time. I am a way bigger Pink Floyd fan, my dad said he used to play them the most in headphones on my mom's stomach when she was pregnant.
